This is another recipe I cut in "half", but we still have left overs. I used 1.5# tenderloin instead of two 1# tenderloins. I also used 11oz of sweet and sour. I didn't have soy sauce like I thought I did, so I used some Worcester sauce and a little bit of tobasco.
Honestly, if I were going to make this again, which probably isn't likely with a 3☆ rating, I'd probably wait to cut the tenderloin until there was an hour or so left because the pork ended up dry and I lessened the cook time by 30-45 minutes. There wasn't a lot of sweet and sour flavor to the meat itself. (I bought a prepackaged tenderloin at Target, I usually prefer my meat from hyvee.)
I also cooked the rice in one of my smaller crock pots on high for 2 hours and it was much nicer than waiting for it to cook on the stove. I used brown rice instead of white rice.
C said "this tastes like poop" (her dad was not appreciative of said comment). She refused to eat it. E once again couldn't get enough and ate pork, rice, and veggies.
This meal definitely wasn't love, but it probably could be with some tweaking.
See you at Dinner!
